Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Potter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gustaw Morcinek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Potter comes into the arena with Super Sharp Shooter - The Ganja Kru blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Ryan Potter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Gustaw Morcinek! The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Atkins and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morcinek defending well as Potter loads up on a big left hand. Potter scores with a crisp jab that stopped Morcinek in his tracks.
It looks like Gustaw Morcinek has been cut. Potter loads up on a big right hand but Morcinek slips the punch. Morcinek ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Potter looks to land a left hand but Morcinek moved out of range nicely. Morcinek looks for a takedown but Potter sprawls well. Potter looks to land a right hand but Morcinek moved out of range. Potter lunges at Morcinek with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Morcinek's hand. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Potter. Morcinek fails with a takedown attempt from distance. The fighters circling - Potter throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Morcinek tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Potter swivels and escapes. Ryan Potter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gustaw Morcinek.
That's one minute gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Potter misses the target. A slow jab from Potter misses its intended target. Potter looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Morcinek. Morcinek misses with a takedown attempt - Potter sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Potter throws out a loose jab but Morcinek uses good head movement to avoid it. Morcinek shoots for a double leg takedown but Potter sprawls well. He's pushed Morcinek's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Morcinek uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Potter. Potter throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Potter throws a body punch but Morcinek moves out of range. Morcinek gets a double leg takedown into Potter's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Potter wants to stand and escape but Morcinek is having none of it. Morcinek avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Potter looking for a guillotine here but Morcinek defends easily.
Potter working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Morcinek doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Morcinek manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Potter escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Morcinek gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Morcinek tries to free his leg and advance position but Potter is retaining full guard. Morcinek trying to control but Potter is working from the bottom. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Potter has an active guard here but Morcinek has managed to pass into half guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Morcinek wants to take a breather but Potter is having none of it. Potter looking for submissions from an awkward position here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Potter throws out a loose jab but Morcinek uses good head movement to avoid it. Potter is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Potter misses with a wild combination.
Potter doesn't succeed with the takedown and Morcinek counters with a nice double leg into guard. Potter has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Morcinek can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Morcinek gets to his feet. Potter looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Gustaw Morcinek is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Potter tries for a takedown but Morcinek circles away easily and Morcinek counters with a nice double leg into guard. Morcinek decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Potter, up you get! A big right from Potter misses.

Potter wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Morcinek gets slowly back to his feet. Morcinek throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Potter tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Morcinek is in Potter's guard. Potter manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Morcinek manages to get himself to full guard.

Gustaw Morcinek showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Gustaw Morcinek's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Morcinek trying to control the position but Potter is working away. Potter tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Morcinek wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Morcinek content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Potter sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Morcinek is figuring out what he wants to do next. Morcinek wants to pass the guard but Potter is defending well.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Gustaw Morcinek was stalling too much, according to the referee. Potter thows a left - swing and a miss! Morcinek keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Morcinek advances to half guard. Potter is looking for a sweep. Morcinek is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ryan Potter. I think Potter has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
