Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jebediah Stewart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hachiro Matsui (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stewart comes to the cage accompanied by Momma Said Knock You Out. Hachiro Matsui is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jebediah Stewart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hachiro Matsui!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Matsui. Those never looked like landing.
Matsui tests Stewart's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Stewart with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Matsui to score with a decent uppercut.
Matsui swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Matsui fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

It looks like Jebediah Stewart has been cut.
Matsui cracks Stewart with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Matsui throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
The fighters circling - Matsui throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Matsui lands with a hook. Stewart tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stewart takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Matsui throws a hook to the side of Stewart's head but Stewart sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Matsui throws a series of punches but Stewart moves out of range.
Stewart moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Nice sprawl there from Matsui as Stewart shoots in.

Stewart moves into range and clinches up with Matsui.

Matsui drags the fight down to the ground.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Stewart has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Stewart wants to get up but he can't break Matsui's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Stewart uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Matsui.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Matsui enables Stewart to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Matsui manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Stewart tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Matsui paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Matsui clobbers Stewart with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Stewart blocks a punch to the side of the head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Matsui fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Matsui is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Stewart pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Matsui wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Stewart has him pressed against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Matsui throws the kick towards the body but Stewart avoids it.
Matsui tries to bum rush Stewart with a series of wild strikes but Stewart uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Stewart wants to clinch.
Matsui fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Stewart on the side of the head.
Matsui connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Hachiro Matsui is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Matsui feints a jab promting Stewart to slip. Matsui then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Stewart slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Hachiro Matsui seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stewart tries to clinch but Matsui is having none of it.
Matsui throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Stewart plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Matsui shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Stewart eats them both and turns towards Matsui to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Matsui misses with an uppercut.
Matsui bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Stewart's head.
Matsui misses with a straight right.
Matsui lands with a straight right. Stewart didn't see that one coming.
Matsui looks to land a right hand but Stewart moved out of range.
Matsui digs a good body shot into Stewart's ribs.
Stewart changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Matsui tries to avoid it but Stewart manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Matsui to the ground. Matsui escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jebediah Stewart. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Stewart looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Stewart looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Matsui is fending him off so far but Stewart persists. Nope, Matsui circles away and we're back to standing.

Stewart is rocked!
Matsui fakes the body blow, causing Stewart to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Stewart goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
