Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Enrique Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Roza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mendez's entrance music is Juno Reactor - Pistolero. A fine choice. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Justin Roza enters the ring!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Justin Roza!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roza shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mendez is trying to defend but Roza finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Mendez tries to kick Roza off but Roza keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Roza is controlling the pace.
Roza is keen to just control but Mendez is a slippery customer.
Roza tries to pass to full mount but Mendez defends it.
Roza not doing much here.
Roza is pressing down on Mendez's thigh, looking to free his foot. Mendez is holding on for now.
Roza thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mendez's head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mendez is looking to improve his position.
Mendez pushes Roza off looking to stand but Roza dives back in and keeps control.
Roza is looking to take a break and control but Mendez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Justin Roza wasn't active enough on the ground.
Roza ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Mendez showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Roza.
Roza works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Mendez scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Enrique Mendez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Roza scores with a decent looking hook.
Mendez ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Roza fails with the takedown.
Roza misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Roza will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Roza falls off balance throwing a combination
enabling Mendez to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Justin Roza has been cut.
Roza moves out of range as Mendez strikes.
Roza throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mendez jabs Roza right on the nose. Roza blinks but takes it well.
Mendez throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Roza's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Mendez dives in looking to finish as Roza flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Mendez's strikes! Mendez is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Roza's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Roza was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
