Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tomasz Szczakowiecki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terrance Pingshaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pingshaw is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Heart of a Champion. Terrance Pingshaw will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tomasz Szczakowiecki!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Terrance Pingshaw!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Ren Mimura and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Szczakowiecki misses with a left hand
and Pingshaw counters with a right hand to the body.
Pingshaw swings for the body but Szczakowiecki moves out of range.
Pingshaw connects with the punch.
Pingshaw jabs Szczakowiecki right on the nose. Szczakowiecki blinks but takes it well.
Pingshaw throws a predictable looking body shot
and Szczakowiecki counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.


Pingshaw is rocked!

Pingshaw has closed the distance and engaged Szczakowiecki in a clinch.
Szczakowiecki is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes.

Szczakowiecki pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Horrible takedown by Pingshaw or perhaps it was just good defense by Szczakowiecki which made him look bad.

Pingshaw shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Pingshaw seems to have recovered his senses.

Oooooh!!! Szczakowiecki has knocked Pingshaw down with a huge combo! Szczakowiecki steps away and waves a wobbly Pingshaw back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Pingshaw rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Szczakowiecki moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Pingshaw loads up on a big right hand but Szczakowiecki slips the punch.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Szczakowiecki, as that shot connected.
Pingshaw jabs at Szczakowiecki's body.
Pingshaw is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Pingshaw shoots in looking for a takedown. Szczakowiecki tries to sprawl out of it but Pingshaw keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Szczakowiecki manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Tomasz Szczakowiecki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Terrance Pingshaw.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Pingshaw takes a swing at Szczakowiecki's ribcage but misses.
Szczakowiecki slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Pingshaw shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Pingshaw showed some decent athleticism there.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Pingshaw is looking to stall here but Szczakowiecki recovers full guard.

Pingshaw is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Terrance Pingshaw wasn't active enough on the ground.

Pingshaw dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Szczakowiecki. That did some damage!

Szczakowiecki lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!
