Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ryan Jaquez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Fahrettin Ozdemir!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Micheangelo Fripello and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Ozdemir takes a knee to the side of the body.
Ozdemir tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Jaquez avoids it.
Jaquez is trying to force a seperation but Ozdemir has the dominant position.
Jaquez controlling the action here for a moment.
Jaquez tries to work over Ozdemir's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Ozdemir breaks from the clinch.
Jaquez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ozdemir shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jaquez pinned against the cage. Jaquez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jaquez throws a nice outside leg kick.
Jaquez throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Ozdemir's head.

Jaquez clinches up with Ozdemir and pushes him back against the cage.
Jaquez wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Ozdemir has him pressed against the cage.

Ozdemir is trying to pull guard but Jaquez has him pressed against the cage.

Jaquez wants to break free but Ozdemir has control.

Ozdemir shoots for a double leg takedown but Jaquez sprawls well. He's pushed Ozdemir's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Jaquez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ozdemir on the ground.
Ozdemir is keen to just control but Jaquez is a slippery customer.

Jaquez is looking to control Ozdemir's arms but Ozdemir gets an underhook and turns him. Now Jaquez has his back to the cage.
Ozdemir wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Ozdemir blocks an elbow strike from Jaquez.
Ozdemir jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jaquez walks away with a smile on his face. Ozdemir gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Jaquez clinches with his opponent.
Ozdemir goes for a takedown attempt but Jaquez pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jaquez looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jaquez has Ozdemir up against the cage in a clinch.
Jaquez keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Ozdemir's efforts to push away.

Ozdemir has Jaquez pressed against the cage, preventing Jaquez from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Jaquez lands a nice shot to the body.
Jaquez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jaquez uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ozdemir has time to react.
Ozdemir lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jaquez circles away quickly and effectively.
Jaquez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Jaquez.
Jaquez throws a nice outside leg kick.
Ozdemir closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Ozdemir is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jaquez is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Jaquez bucks up and tries to throw Ozdemir off but instead Ozdemir has got his back!
Ozdemir looking to break Jaquez's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Jaquez remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Ozdemir will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ozdemir is landing with strikes from the back.
Ozdemir lands with a hammerfist to the side of Jaquez's head.
Jaquez is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Ozdemir working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Jaquez is doing well to defend. Ozdemir seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Jaquez is forced to tap and this one is over!
