Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kenichi Osada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and So Chai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chai has chosen Bring it on as his entrance music. So Chai has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Kenichi Osada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, So Chai!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Osada misses with a two punch combination.
Chai doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Osada counters with a nice low kick that buckles Chai's knee momentarily.
Osada tries to close the distance and clinch but Chai swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Chai fails with the takedown.
Nice defenses there by Chai.
Some wild striking there from Osada.
Chai fails to land the takedown.
Kenichi Osada has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of So Chai.
Chai throws a body punch but Osada moves out of range.

Osada stuffs the takedown attempt from Chai. Chai gets slowly back to his feet.
Osada slips a straight right by Chai.
Osada lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Chai drops his hands momentarily and Osada takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Osada throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Osada ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chai moves away.
Chai shoots in for a takedown but Osada shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Chai shoots in looking for a takedown. Osada tries to sprawl out of it but Chai keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Osada manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Chai throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Osada tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Chai is in Osada's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

So Chai dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Osada counters with a nice uppercut.
Osada misses with a low kick.
Chai rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Osada moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Chai dives in and grabs Osada's left leg, looking for a takedown. Osada pushes down on Chai's head and hops out.
Osada scores with a jab to the body.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Chai is defended easily by Osada.

Chai shoots in but Osada avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Chai looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Osada is fending him off so far but Chai persists. Nope, Osada circles away and we're back to standing.
So Chai is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Osada lets loose with a powerful body kick. Chai will feel that in the morning.
The fight stays on the outside here - Osada looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Osada is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Chai is defending well for now.

Osada breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Osada throws a lazy right hand but Chai sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Osada ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chai moves away.
Kenichi Osada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Chai counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Osada is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Chai throwing strikes but missing.
Osada preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Osada utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Chai stands and throws Osada's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Chai looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Osada is avoiding damage well.

Chai lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Osada down.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chai takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Chai throws a strike but Osada avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Chai with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Chai in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

So Chai showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Chai fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Osada avoids it really well and circles away.
Chai uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Osada.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Osada jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Osada stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Osada wants it to stay on the feet.
Chai shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Osada as he avoids it easily.

Chai is trying hard to land a takedown here. Osada sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

and Chai counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Osada's guard now.
Chai throws a strike but Osada rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Chai manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Sloppy strikes from Chai. Those never looked like landing.
Osada throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Kenichi Osada is winning the standup battle so far.
Osada displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Chai.
Chai throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Osada's waist but Osada gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Chai off to one side.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Osada tries to clinch up but Chai circles away and keeps his distance.
Kenichi Osada has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Osada throws a good cross that connects.

And that's the end of the fight!
So Chai comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Chai winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
