Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Silva Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antti Sokka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson comes into the arena with Kick Ass blaring out of the sound system. Sokka has chosen Black Sun Aeon - Core of Winter as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Silva Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Antti Sokka!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson connects with a jab.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Anderson.
Anderson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Anderson lands a two punch combo.
Anderson misses with a straight right.
Anderson misses with a double jab

and Sokka counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Sokka.
Sokka tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Anderson just stands there and leans against the cage.
Anderson stops a takedown attempt from Sokka.
Anderson jumps guard but Sokka stands there with Anderson around his waist. Anderson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Anderson is trying to drag Sokka to the mat but Sokka just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
A bit of stalling here from Sokka.

Sokka's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Sokka jumps into guard, dragging Anderson to the mat.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Anderson trying to stand up but can't free himself from Sokka's guard.

Anderson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sokka is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Anderson, into his guard.

Anderson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Anderson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sokka is one step ahead there.
Anderson looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Silva Anderson.
Anderson throws a lazy body kick
and Sokka counters with a thumping low kick.
Anderson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Sokka doesn't seem bothered though.
Silva Anderson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Anderson throws a nice looking combination but Sokka bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Sokka tries to close the distance and clinch but Anderson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Anderson throws a series of strikes that have Sokka backpedaling.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Anderson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sokka misses with a body kick.
Sokka uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Anderson.
Anderson throws a nice head kick!
Anderson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sokka has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Sokka throws out a leg kick but Anderson moves out of range and Sokka only half commits.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sokka tries to clinch but Anderson moves out of range.
Sokka throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Sokka instigates a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sokka takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Anderson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Sokka counters with a body kick.

Anderson swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Anderson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Sokka lands with a thumping leg kick.

Sokka feints and as Anderson raises his hands in defense, Sokka changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Sokka throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Sokka advances position into side control!
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Sokka cracks Anderson with a big elbow.
Sokka wants to lay and pray for a moment but Anderson keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The strikes coming from Sokka are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Sokka has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Sokka avoids the strikes from the bottom by Anderson.

Sokka trying to control the position but Anderson is working away.
Anderson tries to bench press Sokka off him but Sokka keeps the position.

Sokka is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Anderson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
You can see the frustration on Anderson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Sokka wants to lay and pray for a moment but Anderson keeps working.
Sokka advances to mount.
Anderson's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Sokka looking for a guillotine from mount but Anderson is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sokka moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Anderson has worked his arm free - good work by Anderson!

Anderson throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Anderson is refusing to be controlled, as Sokka sits in half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Antti Sokka.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Anderson. Sokka shrugs it off though.
Sokka tries to score with a low kick but Anderson moves his leg out of the way.
Sokka misses with a low kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Antti Sokka showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Sokka tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Anderson pushes Sokka away with a front kick.

Anderson lands with a kick to the temple. Sokka shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"


It looks like Antti Sokka has been cut.
Anderson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Sokka tries to close the distance and clinch up but Anderson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Anderson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Anderson scores with a one two! Sokka had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Anderson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Anderson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sokka circles away quickly and effectively.
Anderson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sokka.
Anderson throws a right hand that Sokka ducks under and follows up with a left that Sokka also avoids with ease.
Anderson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sokka.
Sokka tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Anderson is able to avoid easily.
Silva Anderson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sokka changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Anderson tries to avoid it but Sokka manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Anderson to the ground. Anderson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Anderson connects with a single shot there.
Sokka takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Sokka gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Sokka tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Anderson is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Sokka buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Sokka!! Sokka is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Anderson throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:08 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Silva Anderson!
