PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ben Dingdown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mr Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dingdown comes into the arena with Baggy Trousers blaring out of the sound system. Green has chosen yes as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Ben Dingdown has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ben Dingdown seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Green scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Dingdown doesn't seem bothered though.
Dingdown defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Green.
Dingdown on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Dingdown moves into the clinch.
Green throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Dingdowns head.
Green lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Dingdown or not.
A frustrated look appears on Green's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Green lands a nice uppercut.
Green pushes Dingdown back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Dingdown lands a shoulder strike.

Green has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Dingdown uses from the top position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Green working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dingdown doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dingdown manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Dingdown wants to control from the top but Green keeps moving.
Green manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dingdown manages to get himself to full guard.
Green throws a strike but Dingdown rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Green is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Dingdown got a little sloppy there for a moment and Green has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dingdown has managed to get both his arms back between Green's legs - danger averted.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Green bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dingdown's guard.
Green stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dingdown swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Green throws an elbow that misses. Dingdown uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Green's guard. Nice move by Dingdown!
Dingdown is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Green has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Dingdown should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Green has tightened it up now! Dingdown should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
