Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alvaro Morales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ruben Yvel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morales's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Bad Romance!. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Albert Achterberg and Radbod Blank.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Morales or perhaps it was just good defense by Yvel which made him look bad.

Yvel shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Morales tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Yvel prevents Morales from getting back to his feet.
Yvel must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Yvel stays in close to Morales's body and controls the position.

Yvel stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Morales swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yvel is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ruben Yvel hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Yvel feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Morales's calf.
Yvel tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Morales manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Morales closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Morales is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Yvel knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Yvel gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Yvel tries to reverse the position but Morales maintains control.

Morales has control of Yvel's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Yvel regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Morales tries to control but Yvel wriggling away.
Morales has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Yvel's face.

It looks like Ruben Yvel has been cut.
Yvel slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Morales throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Morales trying to pass the guard but Yvel defending well.
Yvel is trying to stand.
Morales has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Morales seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Yvel does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Morales seems to be working for a kimura but Yvel defends the submission attempt.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Morales passes to side control.
The strikes coming from Morales are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

That has opened up Ruben Yvel's cut even more.
Morales looks up at the clock and then as Yvel takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Morales smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

The cut above Ruben Yvel's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ruben Yvel's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
