Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Iwao Saito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ippo Makunouchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Makunouchi's choice of entrance music: Hajime no Ippo - Champion Road Intro. Ippo Makunouchi will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Sosuke Kotani and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makunouchi scores with a jab. Saito acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Makunouchi tries to keep at a distance but Saito has taken the fight into the clinch.

Saito tries to pull guard but Makunouchi holds him up against the cage and eventually Saito drops back down to his feet.

Saito has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Makunouchi uses from the top position.
Saito is looking for a triangle but Makunouchi pushes his legs off easily.

Saito manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Makunouchi manages to get himself to full guard.
Saito drops back looking for a leg! Makunouchi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Makunouchi manages to kick Saito off! Saito jumps back into Makunouchi's guard.

Saito passes Makunouchi's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Saito is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Makunouchi defends it well.

Saito has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Makunouchi is in a horrible position here. Saito smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Makunouchi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Saito. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Saito looking to finish Makunouchi with some ground and pound. This is bad for Makunouchi!
Makunouchi has left one of his arms exposed and Saito doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Makunouchi screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
