Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zack Ryder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Melvin Manhoef (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryder comes to the cage accompanied by Oh Radio. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zack Ryder! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Melvin Manhoef! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, John Roberts and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ouch! a nice leg kick from Manhoef, right into the meat.
Manhoef swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ryder shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Manhoef as he jumps to the side. Ryder misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Ryder shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Manhoef pinned against the cage. Manhoef gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zack Ryder. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ryder shoots in but no luck this time. Manhoef pushes Ryder away with a front kick. Ryder tries to clinch but Manhoef is having none of it. Manhoef throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Ryder shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Manhoef as he avoids it easily. Ryder is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters circle momentarily. Manhoef darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Manhoef lands a leg kick that knocks Ryder off balance momentarily. Manhoef goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Manhoef throws a right and a left that both miss. Zack Ryder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice sprawl there from Manhoef as Ryder shoots in. A combination from Manhoef does no damage. Manhoef scores with a three punch combo!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Manhoef throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Manhoef throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Manhoef throws a combination that misses and Ryder moves into the clinch. Ryder keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Manhoef's efforts to push away. Manhoef misses with a hook to the ribs.
A bit of stalling here from Ryder.
Manhoef looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Ryder tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Manhoef smiles and moves away.
Ryder shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Manhoef's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Manhoef pulls Ryder in close to his closed guard and prevents Ryder from doing any damage or advancing position. Manhoef is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Manhoef can do anything to dispel that myth. Manhoef has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Ryder off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Ryder misses with the combination.
Manhoef throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Ryder drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ryder trying to control the position from guard on top but Manhoef is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ryder gets to his feet. Manhoef looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Ryder misses with a takedown and Manhoef counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Manhoef misses with a double jab.
Ryder clinches up with Manhoef and pushes him back against the cage. Ryder changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Manhoef fights it off and pushes away nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Manhoef throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Ryder decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Manhoef's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ryder slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Manhoef gets back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Melvin Manhoef dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Manhoef looks to land a combination but Ryder avoids it well. No luck with that takedown attempt from Ryder. Manhoef misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ryder throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Manhoef's waist but Manhoef gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ryder off to one side. Manhoef throws out a powerful jab. Manhoef throws a head kick that misses and Ryder counters with a left and a right that stings Manhoef. Manhoef throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Sloppy strikes from Manhoef. Those never looked like landing. Manhoef throws a leg kick which misses Ryder's front leg but catches the back leg as Ryder tries to avoid it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Manhoef lands with a thumping leg kick.
Horrible takedown by Ryder or perhaps it was just good defense by Manhoef which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zack Ryder. That's going to take a lot out of him. Manhoef lands a nice leg kick that just misses Ryder's sensitive parts. Manhoef misses with a looping left. Manhoef misses with a series of wild punches.
Manhoef fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ryder has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. A clash of legs there as Ryder blocks the low kick. Ryder is trying hard to land a takedown here. Manhoef sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ryder shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Ryder takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Manhoef darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Ryder has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Manhoef. Ryder tries to score a power double leg takedown but Manhoef sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ryder somewhat. Manhoef throws a series of punches but Ryder moves out of range. Ryder tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Manhoef paws at him with a jab and circles away. Manhoef falls off balance throwing a combination
and Ryder counters by moving into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ryder is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Manhoef pulls him back up using the underhooks. Manhoef wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Manhoef gets underhooks to prevent Ryder's takedown attempt.
Manhoef working hard to break the clinch. Ryder is trying to drag Manhoef to the mat but Manhoef just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Ryder tries to circle away but Manhoef has him pinned against the cage. Manhoef breaks from the clinch.
Ryder tries to score a power double leg takedown but Manhoef sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ryder somewhat. Manhoef lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ryder shoots in for a takedown but Manhoef shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Manhoef jabs Ryder to the body, keeping him at a distance. Ryder fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Manhoef swinging wildly here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ryder clinches up against the cage. Manhoef breaks from the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Melvin Manhoef showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Ryder shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Ryder sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Manhoef defending well though. Manhoef wants to improve his position but Ryder is controlling well.

Ryder thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Manhoef tries to kick Ryder off but Ryder keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Ryder wants to control but Manhoef is keeping him busy. Ryder prevents Manhoef from improving his position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Zack Ryder. Manhoef stuffs the takedown. Manhoef throws a nice outside leg kick. Ryder fails with a takedown attempt. Manhoef tests Ryder's chin there with a solid looking shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ryder has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Ryder throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Manhoef throws a right and a left that Ryder avoids nicely. Manhoef misses with a double jab.
Ryder drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Manhoef is trying to get back to his feet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ryder wants to lay and pray for a moment but Manhoef keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ryder tries to stand but Manhoef is controlling his head. Ryder in the domination position with Manhoef hanging on. Ryder throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Manhoef is looking for a sweep. Ryder controls the position. Manhoef is looking for a sweep. Manhoef wants to get back to his feet but Ryder is dominant here and he's now got Manhoef's back! Ryder struggling to keep hold of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ryder throwing sloppy strikes. Manhoef looking very determined here, making life difficult for Ryder.
Manhoef trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Manhoef is trying to get back to his feet but Ryder has full control of the position and if anything, Manhoef has just worked his way into a worse spot. Manhoef trying to control the position but Ryder manages to sink in the hooks. Ryder slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Manhoef rolls, trying to escape but Ryder keeps control of the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Zack Ryder showed his dominance in that final round. I think Manhoef has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Melvin Manhoef! Melvin Manhoef spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
