Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, James Kirk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
16 - 11 - 1, fighting out of New York, Osi Tuck!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, John Roberts and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirk looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tuck is fending him off so far but Kirk persists. Nope, Tuck circles away and we're back to standing.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kirk. Tuck does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kirk wants to clinch
and Tuck counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kirk takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Tuck catches Kirk with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Kirk walks into a stiff left hand from Tuck.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tuck changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Tuck lands a nice hook to Kirk's body. Kirk takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Tuck's jab looks to have found its range, popping Kirk under the eye.
Tuck works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Tuck throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Kirk is breathing heavily.

and Tuck counters with a right hand to the body.
Tuck lands with an uppercut that bounces Kirk off the cage and back into range.
Kirk gets caught flat footed, as Tuck shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Tuck scoring with some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Tuck stays in close to Kirk's body and controls the position.
Tuck is pushing down on Kirk's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kirk is fighting to maintain full guard but Tuck has managed to sneak the leg through.
Tuck content to control rather than advance.
Tuck scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Tuck is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Kirk is in a horrible position here. Tuck smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tuck fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Tuck has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Tuck with shots to the head and body - Kirk looks very uncomfortable down there.
Tuck is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Kirk is forced to tap! Great finish!
