Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stan Ross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rigid Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Jones's choice of entrance music: Korn - Freak on a leash. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Stan Ross! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rigid Jones! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. Jones stops a takedown attempt from Ross.
Ross tries for a takedown. No joy.
Ross breaks from the clinch.
Jones clinches up against the cage. Jones landing knees to the body.
Ross tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jones just stands there and leans against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stan Ross. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Jones lands a body punch. Jones missing with knees to the body.

Jones throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ross works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Ross is trying to control the position but Jones postures up. Ross bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jones's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ross has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jones is proving hard to escape from. Ross is breathing heavily. Ross stands and steps away. Jones gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Ross has a takedown stuffed. Jones clinches up against the cage. Knees to the body from Jones.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ross. Ross pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ross scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Ross works to advance to full mount. Jones defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Ross looking to control and managing it successfully. Jones is trying desperately to improve position. Ross controlling from the full mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ross trying to control but he's not successful this time. Ross looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Ross tries to control but Jones wriggling away. Jones's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ross controlling from mount. Ross's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Stan Ross just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Ross clinches but Jones breaks the clinch and Jones counters with a nice uppercut. Jones moves into the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Rigid Jones will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Jones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Ross scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Ross wants to take a breather but Jones is having none of it. Ross seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Ross is looking to take a break and control but Jones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ross is really struggling to control Jones but he's trying to hold on to the position. Jones pushes Ross off and gets back to his feet. Ross tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Jones makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Ross tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jones swivels and escapes. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ross gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Ross closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Ross passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Jones! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ross controlling the position easily from mount. Ross looking to control but Jones is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Ross controlling his opponent.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Stan Ross just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Ross wants to clinch. Ross shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side. Ross throws a leg kick but Jones checks it. Jones darts in trying to clinch so Ross counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jones is looking to stand up but Ross isn't so interested in that idea. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stan Ross dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Ross looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Jones is squirming around, avoiding Ross's attempts to control the action. Jones takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Ross scores with a couple of good head shots there.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ross is working for a guillotine from mount but Jones frees his head quite easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ross controlling his opponent. Ross landing punches. Jones wants to get back to his feet.

God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Ross is working for takedown but Jones is calmly controlling the position for now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stan Ross. That's going to take a lot out of him. A short uppercut from Jones. A shot in the inside from Jones. Jones missing with knees to the body.

Ross has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Jones clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Jones is trying to get back to his feet but Ross has full control of the position and if anything, Jones has just worked his way into a worse spot. Ross looking to hold on to the position here but Jones rolls and ends up regaining guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Stan Ross showed his dominance in that final round. I think Ross has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
