Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Swindell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drago comes into a darkened arena with his song building. the march of Ivan Drago kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Swindell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ivan Drago! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Alyssa Summers and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Swindell looks for a takedown but Drago sprawls well. Swindell avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Swindell steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Drago. That one must have hurt. A looping hook to the body misses from Swindell. Drago does a little dance to reset his feet. Drago tries to clinch but Swindell moves out of range. Drago throws a left and a right that both miss
and Swindell counters with a nice low kick that buckles Drago's knee momentarily. Swindell shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Drago as he avoids it easily. Swindell pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Swindell shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Swindell was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Drago holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Swindell tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

That's one minute gone in the round. Drago is trying to reverse the position but instead Swindell has taken his back - oops! Drago is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Drago wriggles onto his back under a barage of strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Drago is trying to stand. Swindell controlling the pace for now. Swindell looking for a guillotine from mount but Drago is having none of it. Drago is squirming around, avoiding Swindell's attempts to control the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Swindell looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Swindell controlling the pace for now. Drago is desperately trying to improve his position but Swindell has a good base and remains in mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Swindell tries to control but Drago wriggling away. Swindell tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Swindell stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Swindell with a lazy takedown attempt and Drago counters with a nice leg kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Swindell. That's going to take a lot out of him. Drago misses with a low kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. No luck for Drago with that takedown attempt. Drago misses with a combination
and Swindell holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Swindell dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Jab by Drago. Jab from Swindell. Michael Swindell is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nice jab there from Drago. Horrible takedown by Swindell or perhaps it was just good defense by Drago which made him look bad. A big right from Drago misses. Drago fails with an attempt to clinch.

and Swindell decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Drago's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Swindell controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Swindell pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Drago is keeping the position for now. Swindell gets to his feet - Drago follows without any prompting. Drago wants to clinch. Swindell misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Nice takedown defense from Drago. No joy for Swindell on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Swindell. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Swindell throws a shot from downtown. Drago moves away and avoids it. Drago takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Michael Swindell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Swindell looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Swindell not doing much here.

Drago kicks off Swindell and gets to his feet. Drago shoots for a takedown but Swindell saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Drago misses with a two punch combination.
Swindell avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Swindell forces Drago back against the cage and clinches. Drago can't get the takedown.

Swindell turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Drago trying his best to control but Swindell has mounted him. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Drago has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Michael Swindell dominated that second round. That's time! Swindell's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Swindell clinches. Swindell turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Swindell just content to control the position. Swindell cracks Drago with an elbow. That is naaassty. An elbow from Swindell crashes against the mat.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Swindell wants to control but Drago is keeping him busy. Swindell is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Drago has escaped the position, nice work there. Drago trying to remain calm as Swindell controls from the top position. Swindell trying to control the position but Drago is working away. The ref stands the fighters back up because Michael Swindell just wasn't active enough. Swindell swats away the attempt to clinch by Drago. Swindell shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Drago sprawls well. Drago wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Swindell gets slowly back to his feet. Drago keeps the fight on the outside. Swindell closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Drago is controlling Swindell's trapped leg to prevent Swindell from advancing to side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drago trying to hold on to Swindell's head to control him but Swindell postures up.
Drago takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Swindell is trying to control the action in half guard but Drago is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Swindell is taking a breather. Drago says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Michael Swindell wasn't doing enough on the ground. Swindell shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Swindell scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Drago is trying desperately to improve position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Swindell looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Drago defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Swindell. Swindell sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Ivan Drago has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Michael Swindell is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that's the end of the fight! Michael Swindell showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Swindell, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
