Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shawn Woolett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Austin Worner! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Woolett shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Woolett was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign! Woolett is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Worner has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Worner! Woolett is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Worner is aware though and is defending well. Worner is pushing down on Woolett's leg trying to pass to half guard. Woolett is fighting to maintain full guard but Worner has managed to sneak the leg through. Worner looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Woolett looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Worner wants to pass the guard but Woolett is defending well. Worner is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Worner stands and throws Woolett's legs to the side, diving into side control. Woolett is trying to get back to half guard. Worner tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Worner advances nicely into full mount. Woolett is trying to escape the mount.
Worner is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Woolett is surviving well by controlling Worner's body position as best he can. Woolett is working to get back to half guard.

Woolett had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Worner defends it easily. Woolett escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Worner gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Worner trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Woolett is looking for a triangle but Worner pushes his legs off easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Worner looking to pass the guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Shawn Woolett will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Woolett keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Woolett scores with a takedown into Worner's guard. Shawn Woolett overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Woolett postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Worner is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Woolett, into his guard. Worner looking to pass the guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Worner is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Worner wants to pass the guard but Woolett is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Worner advances position into side control! Woolett is looking for a sweep. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Woolett manages to get back to half guard. Worner is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Worner working for a guillotine from mount but Woolett is in no mood to give up. Woolett is desperately trying to improve his position but Worner has a good base and remains in mount. Worner with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Worner moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Woolett has worked his arm free - good work by Woolett!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Worner swings around for an armbar but Woolett sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Worner's guard. Woolett has gone for a leg lock! Worner slips out almost immediately though and dives into Woolett's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Worner looking to pass the guard. Woolett is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Worner is aware though and is defending well. Woolett is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Woolett really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Woolett had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Worner defends it easily.

Woolett is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Worner's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Woolett is in trouble now - Worner has advanced to mount!

Woolett is working hard here to advance position. Worner jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Woolett is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Woolett and Worner has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Worner tries to advance to mount but Woolett denies him. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Worner passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Woolett! Worner has hold of Woolett's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Woolett manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Austin Worner will probably get the nod - 10:9. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Woolett closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Worner tries to get back to half guard but can't. Woolett thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Worner is trying to improve his position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Woolett goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Worner rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Woolett's guard! Nice work there by Worner!

Worner works his way into side control. Worner wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Woolett, who protects the arm well. Woolett is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Worner tries to move to mount but Woolett blocks the move with his legs. Woolett gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Worner wants to pass the guard but Woolett is defending well. Worner frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Worner working for a guillotine from mount but Woolett is in no mood to give up. Woolett is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Worner has control of Woolett's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Woolett regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Woolett regains half guard. Woolett makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Woolett. Worner got a little sloppy there for a moment and Woolett has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Worner has managed to get both his arms back between Woolett's legs - danger averted. Worner advances to half guard. Worner is looking for a kimura here.
