Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Shepard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Adler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shepard has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Shepard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charlie Adler! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Lou da Vinci and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Adler fails with an attempt to clinch.
Adler shoots in looking for a takedown but Shepard manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Adler's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Shepard tries to land a leg kick but Adler saw it coming and moves away.
Shepard fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Adler sprawls well initially but Shepard persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Adler tries to get to full guard but Shepard has control of the leg. Adler trying to control but Shepard postures up.
Shepard is pressing down on Adler's thigh, looking to free his foot. Adler is holding on for now. Shepard stops Adler from getting back to his feet.
Shepard not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Shepard is working for a submission of some sort.
Shepard is breathing heavily. Shepard missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Shepard has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Adler pushes Shepard off looking to stand but Shepard dives back in and keeps control.
Adler is looking for a sweep. Shepard is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Shepard missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Shepard trying to control the action but Adler is working from the bottom. Shepard not landing any meaningful shots this time. Shepard thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Adler blocking the ground and pound attempt from Shepard. Adler really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shepard. Shepard makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Adler utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Shepard wants to control from the top but Adler keeps moving. Shepard loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shepard won't allow Adler to get back to his feet. Shepard pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Adler is keeping the position for now. Adler keeping moving, preventing Shepard from controlling successfully. Shepard won't allow Adler to get back to his feet. Shepard pushes down on Adler's leg and manages to get into half guard. Shepard throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Adler blocking the ground and pound attempt from Shepard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Adler keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Shepard drops an elbow to the side of Adler's head. Shepard drops an elbow to the side of Adler's head. Adler regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Shepard. Shepard throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Adler works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Shepard looking to sit in guard and control but Adler gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Adler has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Shepard to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Adler is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Shepard pulls down on the head and he's put Adler to sleep! This one is all over!
