Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quinn Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leroy Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson's entrance music is Ice Cube - It Was a Dood Day. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Quinn Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leroy Jenkins!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Johnson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Johnson lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Johnson misses with a hook.
No joy there for Johnson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jenkins tries to clinch but Johnson moves out of range.
Johnson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Johnson swings for the body but Jenkins moves out of range.
Jenkins fails to land the takedown.
Jenkins shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Johnson pinned against the cage. Johnson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Johnson waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Jenkins.

Johnson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Johnson lands in his opponent's guard.
Jenkins wants to sweep but no luck.
Jenkins has a closed guard, preventing Johnson from standing up.
Jenkins is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Johnson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Johnson tries to get out of the position.
Johnson is refusing to be controlled, as Jenkins sits in half guard.

Jenkins is working for a submission of some sort.
Johnson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jenkins on the ground.

Johnson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Johnson seems keen to control Jenkins's posture.
Johnson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Jenkins preventing the sweep.
Johnson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Johnson is really struggling to control Jenkins but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Jenkins trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Jenkins misses with a combination
and Johnson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Jenkins tries for a takedown but Johnson circles away easily
enabling Johnson to counter with a crisp jab.
Quinn Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leroy Jenkins.
Jenkins uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Johnson.
Jenkins fails with an attempt to clinch.
Johnson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jenkins.

Johnson misses with a leg kick.
Johnson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jenkins misses with a double jab
letting Johnson counter with a right hand.
Jenkins throws an overhand right that lands on Johnson's shoulder, as Johnson tries to avoid the shot.
Jenkins throws a nice looking combination but Johnson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Jenkins misses with a combination
and Johnson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Quinn Johnson dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Jenkins slips a jab and a cross from Johnson.

and Johnson counters with a lovely straight right hand!


Jenkins is rocked!
Johnson thows a body shot but no joy.
Johnson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Johnson is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Jenkins dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Johnson. That did some damage!

Jenkins throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Johnson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Jenkins is breathing heavily.

Johnson throws a right hand that Jenkins ducks under and follows up with a left that Jenkins also avoids with ease.
Jenkins checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Jenkins tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Johnson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Jenkins is still on wobbly legs! Can Johnson finish him?
Jenkins tries to bum rush Johnson with a series of wild strikes but Johnson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jenkins seems to have recovered his senses.
Jenkins throws a left and a right that both miss

and Johnson counters with a single leg into guard. Jenkins didn't expect that.

Johnson stands up and waves to Jenkins to follow him.
Johnson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Jenkins bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Jenkins lands a really nice looking cross but Johnson seems unphased.
Leroy Jenkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson throws the left hand but Jenkins avoids the punch easily.
Johnson moves in looking to clinch but Jenkins pushes him off.
Jenkins just misses with a punch to the body.
Johnson circles away from the clinch attempt

so Johnson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

and Johnson counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Johnson loads up on a big right hand but Jenkins slips the punch.
Johnson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Johnson throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Johnson tries to clinch but Jenkins moves out of range.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Johnson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Jenkins moves out of range as Johnson strikes.
Johnson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Johnson lands a jab to Jenkins's midsection.
Johnson misses with a few strikes there.
Johnson works the jab nicely.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jenkins slips under a jab from Johnson.
Johnson shoots for a double leg takedown but Jenkins sprawls well. He's pushed Johnson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Jenkins wants to clinch but Johnson slips to the side
enabling Johnson to counter with a crisp jab.
Leroy Jenkins is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Johnson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Johnson working over Jenkins with some ground and pound. Jenkins looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Jenkins is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Johnson decides to stand up.
Johnson swings and misses with a shot to the body

so Jenkins counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jenkins tries to stand but Johnson is controlling from the bottom.

Jenkins thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Johnson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jenkins is one step ahead there.

Jenkins is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Jenkins works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jenkins works his foot free and advances to mount.
Johnson really wants to buck Jenkins off and get back to his feet.

The referee warns Johnson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Jenkins works his way to his opponent's back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Johnson trying to control the hands but Jenkins breaks the grip.
Johnson controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
Johnson rolls, trying to escape but Jenkins keeps control of the position.
Leroy Jenkins has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Johnson defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Johnson manages to reverse the position and now he's in Jenkins's guard. Nice work there by Johnson.
Johnson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Jenkins keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Johnson stands up over Jenkins, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Jenkins is looking to sweep but instead, Johnson has passed into half guard.
Johnson scoring with strikes to the body and head.

Johnson postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Jenkins to stand up.
Johnson misses the jab.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Jenkins lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Johnson has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Johnson and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Jenkins avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

and Johnson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Quinn Johnson showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Johnson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
