Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Khamaza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bernardo Alfonso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alfonso tries to clinch but Khamaza moves out of range.
A solid leg kick lands there for Alfonso.
Alfonso fails in his attempt to clinch.
Alfonso will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Alfonso lands a nice shot to the body.

and Khamaza counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Khamaza drops back looking for a leg! Alfonso is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Alfonso manages to kick Khamaza off! Khamaza jumps back into Alfonso's guard.
Khamaza slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Khamaza is looking to advance position but Alfonso won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Khamaza is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Alfonso!

Khamaza has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Alfonso wants to clinch.
Alfonso tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Khamaza paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Khamaza misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Alfonso throws a series of punches but Khamaza moves out of range.
Alfonso is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Alfonso tries to close the distance and clinch but Khamaza swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Khamaza drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Khamaza shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Alexander Khamaza has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Khamaza closes this distance looking for a takedown but Alfonso circles away.
Alfonso stalks Khamaza and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Khamaza's face. Khamaza staggers backwards, shaken.
Alfonso wants to clinch up but Khamaza keeps it at a distance.

Khamaza closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Khamaza lands in his opponent's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Alfonso stuns Khamaza with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Alexander Khamaza just wasn't active enough.

Alfonso is fighting off a takedown attempt but Khamaza is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Alfonso to the mat. Alfonso regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Khamaza throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Alfonso has his hands clasped together but Khamaza breaks the hold and Alfonso is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Khamaza!
