The judges for this bout are Josh West, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez fails with a takedown attempt.
No luck for Lopez with that takedown attempt.
Lopez tries to clinch up.
Edgar throws a right and a left that both miss.
Edgar lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Edgar.

Lopez avoids the body shot from Edgar.
Lopez drives through and clinches with Edgar against the cage.
Edgar is looking to break free of the clinch but Lopez has double underhooks.
Edgar is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Lopez turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Lopez manages to end up in side control.
Edgar tries to control but Lopez manages to take his back.
Lopez lands a shot to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Edgar is trapped and Lopez is scoring with shots to the head and body.

Edgar looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Lopez has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Edgar's body.
Edgar is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Edgar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lopez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lopez just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Lopez lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
