Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bruce Bongo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nick Diaz! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bongo avoids it really well and circles away. Diaz looks to land a combination. Bongo sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. No joy there for Diaz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Bongo drives through and clinches with Diaz against the cage.

Bongo turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Diaz is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Bongo asserts his dominance and retains side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bongo tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bongo taking a breather here. Diaz regains half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bongo is working away from the top position though. Bongo seems to be looking for submissions.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Bongo is looking to take a break and control but Diaz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Diaz makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Diaz. Bongo wants to control from the top but Diaz keeps moving. Bongo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bongo manages to get himself to full guard.
Bongo looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Diaz is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bongo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Diaz is controlling him. Bongo is trying to keep Diaz in close.
Diaz passes Bongo's left leg - he's now in half guard. Diaz is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Bongo is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
