Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Sydal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aki Siekkinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aki Siekkinen will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aki Siekkinen! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Siekkinen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Siekkinen is looking to clinch but Sydal is avoiding it.
A swing and a miss from Siekkinen. Sydal drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sydal has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Siekkinen swinging wildly here.
Siekkinen moves out of range of the body kick. Sydal clinches. Siekkinen fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Jason Sydal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aki Siekkinen. Siekkinen avoiding damage as Sydal throws knees to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sydal digs a right hand into Siekkinen's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Siekkinen's gas tank. Sydal avoiding damage.
Sydal presses Siekkinen against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Siekkinen wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sydal has him pressed against the cage. Sydal turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Sydal really is a fat lump. Siekkinen seems a little lost for a moment, as Sydal dominates the positioning. Sydal thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Sydal tries to advance position but instead Siekkinen slips a leg back in to half guard. Sydal lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well, if Sydal is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sydal is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sydal moves into full mount! Siekkinen won't be happy about that! Siekkinen looks gassed! Sydal lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Sydal sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Sydal swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Siekkinen is now in Sydal's guard. A big mistake from Sydal there, giving up the dominant position! Sydal has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sydal bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Siekkinen's guard. Sydal knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Siekkinen on the ground. Siekkinen being controlled here, momentarily. Sydal lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sydal looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Siekkinen is looking for a sweep. Sydal is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Sydal looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Sydal is pressing down on Siekkinen's thigh, looking to free his foot. Siekkinen is holding on for now. Sydal seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Sydal wants to pass the guard but Siekkinen is defending well.
We're going to have a standup here because Jason Sydal wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Siekkinen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sydal moves into range and clinches up with Siekkinen. Sydal takes a knee right on the jaw!
Siekkinen is trying to push Sydal away but Sydal has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Sydal slows down the pace here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Siekkinen loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Sydal seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Siekkinen wants to control from the top but Sydal keeps moving. Siekkinen is breathing heavily. Sydal manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sydal takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The referee warns Siekkinen that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sydal raining down shots from the mount! Sydal controlling the pace for now. Sydal's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Sydal feints and as Siekkinen raises his hands in defense, Sydal changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Siekkinen takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Sydal stands up from Siekkinen's guard - Sydal perhaps looking for a knockout. Sydal shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Sydal stands up and beckons Siekkinen to join him on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sydal throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Siekkinen was covering up waiting for the punch and Sydal finishes the takedown easily into guard. Sydal lands a couple of digs. Sydal sitting in guard, not really doing much. Sydal pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Siekkinen is keeping the position for now. Sydal decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Siekkinen, up you get!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sydal shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Sydal lands a couple of decent looking shots. Sydal connects with a couple of short punches. Sydal stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Siekkinen swivels though and keeps the full guard. Siekkinen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sydal doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sydal manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Sydal passes into half guard. Sydal is pressing down on Siekkinen's thigh, looking to free his foot. Siekkinen is holding on for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sydal stalling. Sydal tries to pass to full mount but Siekkinen defends it. Sydal drops an elbow to the side of Siekkinen's head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sydal sitting and controlling from the half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sydal stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Siekkinen to get to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Jason Sydal showed his dominance in that final round. Well Sydal has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
