Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marvin Heemeyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cuneyt Karakus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marvin Heemeyer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cuneyt Karakus! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Bruno Hogan and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Heemeyer looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Heemeyer postures up in Karakus's guard and throws a big left but Karakus blocks it. Karakus looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Karakus has momentary wrist control but Heemeyer slips an elbow through the middle. Heemeyer trying to control but Karakus is working from the bottom. Heemeyer slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Heemeyer is looking to work some ground and pound but Karakus has wrist control. Heemeyer works a leg free and moves into half guard. Karakus actively working from the bottom here. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Heemeyer connects with a nice short shot to Karakus's temple.

Heemeyer lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Well, if Heemeyer is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Still in half guard, Heemeyer seems content to control. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Heemeyer connects with a nice short shot to Karakus's temple. Karakus moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Heemeyer keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Karakus's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Karakus has momentary wrist control but Heemeyer slips an elbow through the middle. Heemeyer pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Karakus is keeping the position for now. Heemeyer landing with the ground and pound. Karakus had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Heemeyer is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Karakus Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Heemeyer's back instead. Karakus looks gassed! Heemeyer rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Heemeyer wants to get back to full guard. Karakus has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Karakus misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Karakus blocks Heemeyer's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Heemeyer is looking to get to half guard. Karakus is rocked! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Heemeyer wants to control the pace but Karakus is squirming around nicely. Heemeyer landing shots from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marvin Heemeyer dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Heemeyer ducks under a wild hook from Karakus. Karakus misses with a takedown attempt and Heemeyer counters with a shoot takedown. Karakus fights it but they end up in guard. Heemeyer working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Karakus's head. Karakus is breathing heavily. Heemeyer keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Karakus's head. Heemeyer with a nice head shot there. Heemeyer is in close to Karakus's body, working some short punches and elbows. Heemeyer wants to control from the top but Karakus keeps moving.

Heemeyer content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Heemeyer working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Karakus's head. Heemeyer connects with a couple of short punches. That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Heemeyer lands a nice short elbow. Heemeyer lands with a punch from half guard. Karakus wants to improve his position but Heemeyer is controlling well.

Marvin Heemeyer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Karakus is not content to let Heemeyer control the position.

Heemeyer works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. You can see the frustration on Karakus's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Karakus is looking for a sweep. Karakus is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Heemeyer off and has taken his back! Karakus has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Heemeyer turns into Karakus and is now in his guard.

Karakus takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Karakus tries to get back to half guard but can't. Heemeyer raining down shots from the mount! Heemeyer landing strikes, looking to finish! Heemeyer lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
This has been an exciting period of action! Heemeyer with shots to the head and body - Karakus looks very uncomfortable down there. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Heemeyer cracks Karakus with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
