Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Davies!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tyson Harris!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Atkins and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Harris shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Well, if Harris is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Harris thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Harris uses his free foot to push down on Davies's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Davies.
Davies wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Harris controlling the positon.
Harris has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Davies covering up well under a barage of strikes.
Harris really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Davies.

Harris patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Harris biding his time, controlling Davies.
Davies trying to control the hands but Harris breaks the grip.

Harris has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Davies has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Harris has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Davies's body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Let's hope that Harris has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Harris has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Davies tries to escape but Harris has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Davies is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Harris gets his way!
Davies is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davies just trying to survive but Harris is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Harris is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Davies won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Harris off his unconscious opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Tyson Harris!
