The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burnett shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Givens as he jumps to the side.
Givens lands a nice shot to the body.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Burnett is defended easily by Givens .
Burnett takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Givens stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steven Burnett. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Burnett is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Givens lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Givens lands with a nice body punch.
Givens cracks Burnett on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Burnett falls backwards against the cage. Givens follows up with more strikes that drop Burnett to his knees. Givens keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Burnett! This one is all over!
