Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alistair Overdose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zapp Brannigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Overdose's entrance music is Powerthirst. A fine choice. Brannigan comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Jackyl -- The Lumberjack kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Overdose is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Alistair Overdose has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
19 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alistair Overdose!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

29 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zapp Brannigan!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brannigan shoots in looking for a takedown but Overdose manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Brannigan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Overdose is breathing heavily.
Overdose takes a body punch but keeps moving.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Overdose crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Brannigan - the referee stops the clock and Overdose gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Brannigan. Overdose manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Brannigan tries a head kick but it misses.
Brannigan moves into the clinch.
A short left from Brannigan.
Brannigan lands a good knee to the midsection. Overdose won't want to take too many of those.
Brannigan is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Overdose is defending well for now.
Overdose tries to stall but Brannigan uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Overdose wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

A right handed body shot lands from Brannigan.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Brannigan gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Overdose can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Brannigan controls the pace.
Overdose will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Let's hope that Brannigan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Zapp Brannigan.
Brannigan lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

A looping hook to the body misses from Brannigan. Overdose does a little dance to reset his feet.
Brannigan moves into range and clinches up with Overdose.
Brannigan has Overdose pushed against the cage.
Overdose tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Brannigan's elbow.
Brannigan looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Brannigan lands a right hand that snaps the head of Overdose backwards.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Brannigan lands a nice uppercut.
Overdose struggles to land a body shot inside as Brannigan controls his hands.
Brannigan is pushing Overdose up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Overdose swings away with an uppercut that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Brannigan can't find room to land a body shot as Overdose controls the action.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Overdose trying to stall but Brannigan improves his position.
Brannigan lands a right hand.
Brannigan lands a left hand that snaps the head of Overdose backwards.
Brannigan misses with a punch on the inside.
Brannigan tries to work over Overdose's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Overdose takes a shot to the head.
Overdose misses with some punches.
Brannigan is stalling here.
Brannigan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Brannigan lands a left and a right that send Overdose crashing to the mat, dazed. Brannigan thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Overdose is rocked!

Sloppy strikes from Brannigan. Those never looked like landing.
Oh Overdose is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Brannigan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Brannigan lands a right hand that snaps the head of Overdose backwards.
Brannigan throws a big uppercut that drops Overdose! More strikes from Brannigan and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Overdose lies dazed against the cage as Brannigan celebrates with his cornermen!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zapp Brannigan!
Zapp Brannigan decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
