Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Herbert Mortensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mick Ferris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mick Ferris will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Mick Ferris!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, William Gold and James Atkins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mortensen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Ferris looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

and Mortensen counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Mortensen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mortensen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

and Ferris counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Ferris.

Mortensen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mortensen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ferris tries to avoid it but Mortensen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ferris to the ground. Ferris escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Mortensen closes the distance and clinches up with Ferris, looking for a takedown. Mortensen pushes Ferris against the cage but Ferris circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Ferris has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mortensen is working away from the top position though.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mortensen in particular looking to stall.

Mortensen is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Mortensen feints and as Ferris raises his hands in defense, Mortensen changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Mortensen had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Ferris is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Mortensen Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Ferris's back instead.
Mortensen has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Ferris's body.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
