DeFuria kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Styles P - Progress . The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from DeFuria misses its intended target.
Schwager lands a jab-cross combination.
DeFuria throws a lazy right hand but Schwager sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
DeFuria pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Schwager throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
DeFuria misses with a hook. Schwager ducked under it nicely.
Schwager throws a right hand that DeFuria ducks under and follows up with a left that DeFuria also avoids with ease.
DeFuria takes one on the chin but seems OK.
DeFuria missing with a left hand there. Schwager was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Schwager gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Schwager swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and DeFuria makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
DeFuria moves forwards but Schwager connects with a nice, crisp jab.
DeFuria is rocked!

DeFuria throws a hook but Schwager avoids it easily.
Oh DeFuria is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Schwager tries to bum rush DeFuria with a series of wild strikes but DeFuria uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
DeFuria looks to land a right hand but Schwager moved out of range.
Schwager looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Schwager keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
DeFuria showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Schwager.
DeFuria seems to have got his legs back now.
Schwager steps to the side to avoid the strikes from DeFuria.
DeFuria is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Schwager's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Schwager throws a right hand that DeFuria ducks under and follows up with a left that DeFuria also avoids with ease.

Schwager is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Schwager throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
DeFuria misses with a body shot.
DeFuria bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Schwager's head.
DeFuria swings widly with a right hand
and Schwager counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Schwager throws a right and a left that DeFuria avoids nicely.
DeFuria lands a body shot.
Schwager walks forward and throws a big overhand right! DeFuria drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Schwager swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from DeFuria's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Norbert Schwager was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
