Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Superior Heavyweight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Russ Hodges (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Russ Hodges is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Heavyweight swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hodges takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Heavyweight throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Heavyweight looks to land a combination but Hodges avoids it well.
Superior Heavyweight seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hodges steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Heavyweight.

Hodges shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Heavyweight but Heavyweight pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hodges looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Heavyweight is fending him off so far but Hodges persists. Nope, Heavyweight circles away and we're back to standing.

The fighters circle momentarily. Heavyweight darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Heavyweight stalks Hodges and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hodges's face. Hodges staggers backwards, shaken.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Hodges might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Heavyweight has got the better of the exchanges.
