Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Daniel Cesar and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveira manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Almeida on his heels. He'll look to pass Almeida's guard now, I'm sure.
Almeida has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Oliveira really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Almeida. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Almeida is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Oliveira defends well.
Almeida is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Almeida uses his free foot to push down on Oliveira's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Oliveira.

Oliveira reaches up to try and control the position but Almeida seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Oliveira rolls and tries to escape and now Almeida has his back!

Oliveira is trying to defend against the choke here but Almeida has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Almeida Tightens the hold and Oliveira taps out furiously! Almeida displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
