Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ilja Vasuta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Matos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vasuta's entrance music is E.S. Posthumus Unstoppable . A fine choice. Charles Matos will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Charles Matos! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Seu Braga and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Matos, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Vasuta shoots in and gets a takedown into Matos's guard. Vasuta trying to control but Matos is working from the bottom. Matos wants to stand and escape but Vasuta is having none of it. Vasuta controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Vasuta thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Vasuta throwing strikes from guard but Matos blocks nicely. Matos is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Matos manages to kick Vasuta off! Vasuta jumps back into Matos's guard. Vasuta drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Vasuta jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Matos keeping full guard, as Vasuta tries to pass. Vasuta thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Matos wants to get back to his feet but Vasuta is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Vasuta tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Matos takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Vasuta working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Vasuta is working to tighten is grip on Matos's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Matos has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Vasuta is really squeezing tight and eventually Matos passes out! Vasuta breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
