Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Crichton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seigo Okazawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Okazawa has chosen Monster as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michael Crichton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Seigo Okazawa! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Alexandre Firmino and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crichton closes the distance and pushes Okazawa back into the cage. Okazawa jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Crichton walks away with a smile on his face. Okazawa gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. The fight moves into the clinch position. Crichton jumps guard and drags Okazawa to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Okazawa is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Crichton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Okazawa on the ground. Crichton throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Okazawa is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Okazawa avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Crichton might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Okazawa wants to pass the guard but Crichton is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Okazawa stands and throws Crichton's legs to the side, diving into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Okazawa working away. You can see the frustration on Crichton's face as Okazawa controls the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Okazawa has control of an arm but Crichton manages to advance to Okazawa's back! Okazawa turns into Crichton and is now in his guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Crichton is on top in guard.
Crichton wants to stand but Okazawa has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Okazawa manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Crichton regains half guard. Okazawa prevents Crichton from standing back up.
Crichton is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Crichton wants to control but Okazawa is keeping busy.
Okazawa wants to work for an arm triangle but Crichton is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Okazawa is taking a breather. Crichton says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Crichton is trying to get back to full guard. Okazawa passes the guard and advances to mount! Crichton sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Crichton is staying active underneath Okazawa, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crichton is trying to control but can't.
Crichton moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Okazawa is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Okazawa looking to sit in guard and control but Crichton gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Crichton throws a strike but Okazawa rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Crichton throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Crichton looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Okazawa has picked Crichton up and slammed him! Crichton can't keep hold of the triangle and Okazawa manages to pass to side control! Crichton is looking for a sweep. Crichton is working hard here to advance position.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Okazawa wants to control but Crichton is keeping him busy. Crichton is letting Okazawa control him for a moment. Crichton is looking to regain half guard here but Okazawa keeps moving and retains side control.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Okazawa lands an elbow. Okazawa has an Americana. Crichton didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Okazawa is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Okazawa hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 7:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Seigo Okazawa! A very excited looking Seigo Okazawa made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
