The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Diaz dives in and scores a takedown into Griffin's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Griffin is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Diaz is aware though and is defending well.

Diaz stands up over Griffin, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Griffin tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Diaz is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Griffin is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Griffin has escaped and now he's on top!

Diaz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Diaz moves into full mount! Griffin won't be happy about that!

Diaz is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Griffin is forced to tap! Great finish!
