Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ritsuko Asuke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vincent Hunter!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter throws a low kick but Asuke moves out of range easily.
Asuke misses with a hook. Hunter ducked under it nicely.
Hunter buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Hunter throws a head kick that half lands.
Asuke avoids the head kick by Hunter.
Asuke throws an overhand right that lands on Hunter's shoulder, as Hunter tries to avoid the shot.

Hunter has managed to clinch.
Asuke blocks the elbow strike.
Asuke misses with some punches.
A shot in the inside from Asuke.
Asuke throws a head punch that misses.

Hunter turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hunter manages to end up in side control.
Hunter in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Asuke manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Asuke is trying to stand up here but Hunter is controlling him well.

Asuke is looking to control Hunter's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Asuke avoid being mounted?
Hunter looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Asuke with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hunter lands a nice short elbow.

Let's hope that Hunter has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Asuke is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hunter pulls his head out easily.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ritsuko Asuke.
Asuke throws a series of punches but Hunter avoids them all with ease.

Asuke gets caught napping as Hunter dives in and scores a takedown. Asuke manages to retain guard.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Hunter, right into the meat.

Asuke gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hunter to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Asuke throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Hunter escapes and throws Asuke's legs to the side, diving into side control!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hunter lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Asuke hold on?!

Hunter has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Asuke's body.

Asuke drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hunter manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Asuke has Hunter in his guard.

Hunter connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Asuke crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hunter - the referee stops the clock and Asuke gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hunter. Asuke manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Hunter postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Asuke in real trouble here! The ref calls for Asuke to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
