Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Clay Rawls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Elvis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thiago Elvis told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Clay Rawls! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Thiago Elvis! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Elvis blocks a head kick by Rawls.
Elvis tries to clinch but Rawls moves out of range. Elvis takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
It looks like Thiago Elvis has been cut. Elvis is looking to clinch but Rawls is avoiding it.
Rawls shoots in for a takedown but Elvis shows good takedown defense. Elvis misses with a two punch combination.
Rawls throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Elvis throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Rawls counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Elvis's guard now. Elvis looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rawls is one step ahead there. Rawls drops back looking for a leg! Elvis is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Elvis manages to kick Rawls off! Rawls jumps back into Elvis's guard. Elvis looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Elvis wants to stand and escape but Rawls is having none of it. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rawls accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's one minute gone in the round. Rawls trying to control the position from guard on top but Elvis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Elvis doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Elvis fails with the takedown and Rawls makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Rawls swinging wilding here.
Elvis looks to clinch and Rawls decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Elvis's guard.
Elvis is rocked! Elvis looks gassed! Rawls passes Elvis's left leg - he's now in half guard. Elvis wants to get back to full guard. Rawls with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Rawls scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Rawls lands strikes from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, Rawls seems content to control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Elvis taking some punishment here, with Rawls in his half guard. Rawls lands strikes from half guard. Elvis is still in real trouble! Can Rawls finish him? The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rawls lands a nice short elbow. Elvis wants to get back to full guard. Rawls passes the guard and advances to mount! The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Elvis is trying to stand. Elvis seems to have recovered his senses. Rawls looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Elvis is trying desperately to improve position. Rawls lands with some strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Elvis is bucking up trying to escape but Rawls cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Rawls wants to control the pace but Elvis is squirming around nicely. Rawls controlling the position easily from mount. Rawls looking to secure an arm triangle but Elvis defends it well. A nice elbow there by Rawls. Rawls landing strikes, looking to finish! Rawls controlling his opponent. Elvis is looking to improve his position but Rawls isn't that keen on the idea. Rawls has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rawls is working for a guillotine from mount but Elvis frees his head quite easily.
Rawls lands a nice shot to the head. BOOM! Rawls connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Rawls is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Rawls!
