Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bob Ctvrtlik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kent has chosen Shoot To Thrill by AC/DC as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bob Ctvrtlik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joey Kent!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ctvrtlik tries to clinch there but Kent circles away.
Ctvrtlik wants to clinch.
Kent on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Kent gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ctvrtlik to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Kent lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Ctvrtlik!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kent can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ctvrtlik is looking to escape.
Ctvrtlik wants to control but Kent is having none of it.

Kent lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kent looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Kent stands up from mount. Strange move.
Ctvrtlik keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kent tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ctvrtlik paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Kent gets caught napping as Ctvrtlik dives in and scores a takedown. Kent manages to retain guard.
Kent tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ctvrtlik postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Kent trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

Ctvrtlik decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kent, up you get!

Kent closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ctvrtlik quickly recovers to half guard.
Ctvrtlik is trying to get back to full guard.
Kent is just content to waste time from the top position. Ctvrtlik takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Kent wants to pass the guard but Ctvrtlik is keeping the position.

Kent wants to get up but he can't break Ctvrtlik's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Ctvrtlik not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ctvrtlik is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Ctvrtlik wants to sweep here but Kent controlling him for the moment.

Kent decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ctvrtlik, up you get!
Kent shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ctvrtlik but Ctvrtlik pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Ctvrtlik manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kent on his heels. He'll look to pass Kent's guard now, I'm sure.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kent working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ctvrtlik doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ctvrtlik manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
