Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Janis Petke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Whisky Dan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dan has chosen "I'm a man" by Black Strobe as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petke shoots in and drives through. Dan sprawls well.
Nice takedown defense from Dan. No joy for Petke on that attempt.
Petke swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Dan misses with a wild combination.
Dan connects with a looping right hand.
Petke shoots for a takedown but Dan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Janis Petke. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No joy there for Dan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dan misses with a double jab
and Petke counters with a takedown into side control.
Dan is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Dan slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Petke tries to free his leg and advance position but Dan is retaining full guard.
Petke is breathing heavily.

Dan controlling the position.
Dan pushes a forearm under Petke's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Petke is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
