Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charles Raines (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Holka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charles Raines!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeremy Holka!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holka attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Raines moves into range and clinches up with Holka.
Holka tries for a takedown but Raines manages to get underhooks.

Raines breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Raines throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Holka's waist but Holka gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Raines off to one side.
Holka looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Raines is fending him off so far but Holka persists. Nope, Raines circles away and we're back to standing.
Holka shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Raines defends it nicely.
Charles Raines has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeremy Holka.
Holka cracks Raines with an open hand slap.
Raines shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Holka but Holka pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Raines looks for a takedown but Holka sprawls well.
Raines lands with a kick to the ribs.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Raines moves into the clinch successfully.
Holka looking for a takedown.
Holka is trying to push Raines away but Raines has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Holka has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Raines after a bit of a struggle.
Raines changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Holka fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Raines clinches.

Raines breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Holka shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Raines as he avoids it easily.
Holka misses with a head kick.
Raines throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Holka.
Holka throws a right hand that Raines ducks under and follows up with a left that Raines also avoids with ease.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Holka stuffs the takedown attempt from Raines. Raines gets slowly back to his feet.
Holka shoots in but no luck this time.
Holka looks gassed!
Raines shoots in and drives through. Holka sprawls well.
Holka shoots in looking for a takedown. Raines tries to sprawl out of it but Holka keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Raines manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Raines will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Raines moves into range and clinches up with Holka.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Holka gets control of Raines's arms and successfully pulls guard. Holka will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Raines is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Raines working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Raines stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Holka swivels though and keeps the full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Raines accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Raines wants to stand and escape but instead Holka has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Raines bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Holka's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Holka is trying to control the position but Raines postures up.
Raines postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Holka trying to keep a closed guard but Raines is proving a slippery customer.

Raines gets to his feet - Holka follows without any prompting.
A head kick by Holka misses

and Raines counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Holka is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Raines to keep the fight standing.
Holka prevents the takedown attempt.

Raines escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Charles Raines dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Raines throws a nice looking combination but Holka bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Raines shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Holka defends it nicely.
Raines throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Holka's waist but Holka gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Raines off to one side.

and Holka counters with a good, hard body kick but Raines shrugs it off.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charles Raines. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Raines misses with a takedown attempt - Holka sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Holka tries to clinch up but Raines circles away and keeps his distance.
Holka throws a wild body kick that Raines sees coming a mile off.
Holka tries to score a power double leg takedown but Raines sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Holka somewhat.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Raines fails to land the takedown.

Holka is looking to clinch but Raines is avoiding it.
Raines swats away the attempt to clinch by Holka.
Charles Raines is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Holka feints and as Raines raises his hands in defense, Holka changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Raines keeping moving, preventing Holka from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Raines looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Holka trying to control but Raines is working from the bottom.
Holka stays in close to Raines's body and controls the position.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jeremy Holka wasn't active enough on the ground.

Holka darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Holka tries to stand and escape but Raines is controlling the position.
Holka prevents Raines from standing back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Raines tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Holka has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Holka prevents Raines from getting the reversal.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Raines tries to control Holka's body but Holka pushes him off. Raines squirms to his side and now Holka has his back!
Holka trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Raines trying to control the position but Holka manages to sink in the hooks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jeremy Holka showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Holka avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Holka fails with a takedown attempt.
Raines tries to close the distance and clinch up but Holka swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The fight stays on the outside here - Holka looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Holka sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Raines tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Holka throws a head kick but Raines moves out of range.
Raines shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Holka but Holka pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Raines slips a straight right by Holka.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Raines shoots in looking for a takedown but Holka manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Raines's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Raines swats away the attempt to clinch by Holka.
Holka fails with a takedown attempt.
Holka takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Raines clinches with his opponent.
Holka stops a takedown attempt from Raines.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charles Raines. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Raines is trying to pull guard but Holka has him pressed against the cage.
Holka tries to pull guard but Raines won't allow it.
Holka tries to score a body lock takedown but Raines shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Raines lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Holka or not.
Raines keeps control of Holka as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Holka takes a knee to the side of the body.
Holka jumps guard but Raines stands there with Holka around his waist. Holka gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Raines has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Holka uses from the top position.

Raines has his hands on Holka's head, controlling the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jeremy Holka.
Raines shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Raines takes the fight into the clinch.
Holka jumps guard but Raines turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Raines digs a right hand into Holka's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Holka's gas tank.
Holka tries for a takedown. No joy.
Raines can't find room to land a body shot as Holka controls the action.
Come on Raines - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Raines presses Holka against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Raines lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Raines can't get the takedown.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Holka jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Raines walks away with a smile on his face. Holka gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Raines shoots in but no luck this time.
Holka is trying hard to land a takedown here. Raines sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
Charles Raines showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Raines has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
