Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elliot Simpson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alright MR (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simpson has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Elliot Simpson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alright MR! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Richard Clark and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! MR fails to land the takedown. Elliot Simpson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Simpson avoids the body shot from MR.
MR wants to slow Simpson down by chopping away at his legs. Simpson clinches with his opponent.
MR with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - MR has eaten all the pies! Simpson stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
MR trying to control the position but instead, Simpson has worked for underhooks and has pushed MR into the cage. MR is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Simpson is defending well. MR tries to circle away but Simpson has him pinned against the cage. Simpson throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. MR tries to break the clinch but Simpson is controlling the position. MR takes an elbow to the forehead.
It looks like Alright MR has been cut. A nice right hand lands inside from Simpson. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Simpson manages to break the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Simpson closes the distance and lands a one-two. MR looks gassed! Simpson lands with a cross. The fight moves into the clinch position. Simpson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Simpson blocks a head kick by MR.
Simpson has taken the fight to the clinch.
MR is trying to break the clinch but Simpson is controlling him. MR wants to get back to striking at distance but Simpson won't allow it.
Simpson lands an elbow inside. Simpson has MR pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Simpson pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending MR tumbling to the mat - Simpson dives into MR's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. MR can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Simpson controls the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. MR tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Elliot Simpson just wasn't active enough. Simpson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Simpson pushes MR up against the cage in a clinch. MR being controlled against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Simpson lands a right hand that snaps the head of MR backwards. Simpson stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Simpson lands a right hand. Simpson lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down MR. Simpson is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Simpson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Simpson connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. MR tries to keep at a distance but Simpson has taken the fight into the clinch. Simpson lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Simpson softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Simpson working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Simpson is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Simpson manages to break the clinch.
Simpson tests MR's chin there with a solid looking shot. Simpson has MR up against the cage in a clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Simpson digs a right hand underneath MR's ribcage. MR let out a lung full of air as it connected. The referee is keeping an eye on Simpson - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Elliot Simpson dominated that round. The cut man is working on Alright MR's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Simpson connects with a leg kick. MR looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Nice takedown defense from Simpson. No joy for MR on that attempt. MR takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Simpson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Simpson closes the distance and clinches. Simpson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. MR throwing strikes from guard but Simpson blocks nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Simpson is controlling MR's posture. Simpson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Simpson tries to get out of the position. Simpson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from MR. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. MR would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from MR. MR on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Simpson looks to land a combination. MR sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Simpson throws a combination. MR tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Simpson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
MR walks into a jab. Elliot Simpson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. MR takes a shot right to the bread basket.
That's two minutes gone in the round. MR wants to clinch but Simpson slips to the side and Simpson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Simpson moves into range and clinches up with MR. Simpson stalling the fight.
MR is trying to drag Simpson to the mat but Simpson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Elliot Simpson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alright MR. Simpson lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Simpson creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through MR's defenses. Simpson gets a trip takedown into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. MR looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. MR tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Simpson has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Simpson avoids the attempt from MR to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Simpson with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Simpson content just to control the position here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Simpson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. MR is trying to break the clinch but Simpson is controlling him. Simpson working some nice short punches in the clinch. MR looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Simpson keeps control of MR as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Simpson breaks the clinch.
Simpson clinches. Simpson has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but MR regains guard immediately. Simpson wanted to stand there but MR had control of the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Simpson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. MR looking to hit a scissor sweep but Simpson is one step ahead there. Simpson wants to stand but MR has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Elliot Simpson has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Simpson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Simpson wants it to stay on the feet. Simpson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Simpson scores with a jab to the head.
Simpson feints a jab promting MR to slip. Simpson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. MR slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Simpson is looking to slow MR down with leg kicks. Elliot Simpson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Simpson works the jab nicely. Simpson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Simpson!
MR misses with a body kick. Simpson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
That's three minutes gone in the round. MR tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Simpson counters into the clinch. Nicely done. MR tries to pull guard but Simpson holds him up against the cage and eventually MR drops back down to his feet.
Simpson lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt MR or not. Simpson jumps guard.
MR is looking to stand up but Simpson won't let him. MR trying to control but Simpson is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Alright MR. Simpson moves into the clinch successfully.
MR tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Elliot Simpson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alright MR. Simpson pulls MR into guard.
MR trying to control the position from guard on top but Simpson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Alright MR hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Simpson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of MR's head.
And that's the end of the fight! Elliot Simpson showed his dominance in that final round. Well Simpson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
