Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexej Stepanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mitch Connors (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stepanov comes into the arena with Limp Bizkit - My Generation blaring out of the sound system. Connors has chosen Lloyd - Dedication To My Ex as his entrance music. Mitch Connors will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexej Stepanov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mitch Connors!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Daniel Blasius and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stepanov misses with a takedown
and Stepanov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Stepanov with a lazy takedown attempt
and Connors counters with a nice uppercut.

and Connors counters with a three punch combo that has Stepanov backing up. Stepanov nods at Connors to acknowledge the strikes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexej Stepanov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stepanov is looking to clinch but Connors is avoiding it.
Stepanov shoots and misses
and Connors cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Stepanov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Connors as he avoids it easily.
Stepanov tries to clinch but Connors moves out of range.
Stepanov takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Connors cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Stepanov is breathing heavily.

Stepanov misses with a combination
and Connors counters with a stiff right hand.
Oh Stepanov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Stepanov is looking to clinch.
Stepanov seems to have got his legs back now.
Connors lands a head shot.
Stepanov shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Connors counters with a huge left! Stepanov is in big trouble! He's backing up but Connors isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Stepanov from any more damage. A dominating finish by Connors!
