Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gunnar Elbow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Powell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Powell has chosen Thndrkss 65 as his entrance music. Robert Powell told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powell is trying hard to land a takedown here. Elbow sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Elbow closes the distance but Powell moves to the side

and Powell counters with a nice double leg into side control. Elbow won't be happy with that.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Powell tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Powell lands a strong strike to the head of Elbow. That's dazed him! Powell looking to finish here. Elbow is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Powell lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
