Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Aldo Rage! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Melvin Meijer! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rage swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rage dives in and grabs Meijer's left leg, looking for a takedown. Meijer pushes down on Rage's head and hops out. Rage swats away the attempt to clinch by Meijer. Rage shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Rage is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Meijer doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rage. Rage looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's one minute gone in the round. Meijer is defending against the submission attempts here by Rage.
Rage is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Meijer is just riding it out for now. Rage eventually gives up the hold. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Rage is looking for a kimura here.
Rage is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Meijer defends it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rage is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Meijer sees it coming and defends easily. Meijer looks gassed! Rage is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Aldo Rage dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Rage shoots in but no luck this time. Meijer jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Meijer shoots in for a takedown but Rage shows good takedown defense. Rage shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Meijer's guard. Rage looking to pass the guard. Rage is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Meijer is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Meijer has escaped and now he's on top! Rage managing to control the position. Meijer is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rage looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Rage manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Rage moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Meijer has worked his arm free - good work by Meijer!
Rage is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Meijer is trying to escape and Rage transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Meijer is forced to tap! Nice work there by Rage! Very nice indeed!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Aldo Rage! Post fight, Aldo Rage stared into the camera and said 'Shout out to my manager who makes sure I have all the tools to prepare me to win and to my team-mates who beat me up in training so I can cover the holes in my game. Time to show them what I can do.'.
