The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaluhiwa slips a jab from Awa.
Awa connects with a leg kick. Kaluhiwa looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Kaluhiwa lands with a cross.
Kaluhiwa swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kaluhiwa rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Awa moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A solid leg kick lands there for Awa.
Kaluhiwa looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Kaluhiwa tries to bum rush Awa with a series of wild strikes but Awa uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Awa swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Awa throws a series of punches but Kaluhiwa avoids them all with ease.
Awa throws a front kick that sends Kaluhiwa stumbling back into the cage.
Awa lands with a kick to the temple. Kaluhiwa shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A nice combination there by Kaluhiwa.
Ezekiel Kaluhiwa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kaluhiwa swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Awa counters with a huge head kick that drops Kaluhiwa! The ref dives in to stop the fight and the crowd goes wild!
