The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sumera moves into the clinch.
Pride is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Sumera ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sumera no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Pride trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Sumera manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Sumera drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sumera jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Pride knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sumera on the ground.
Pride wants to hit a switch here but Sumera passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Pride there!

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Sumera has eaten all the pies!

Sumera is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Pride defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
You can see the frustration on Pride's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Sumera is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Pride knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Pride for a finish.
