Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Bongo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bongo's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, jake the peg by rolf harris . Jon Jones has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bruce Bongo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jon Jones!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Radbod Blank and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bongo shoots for a takedown but Jones saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from Bongo. Bongo gets slowly back to his feet.
Bruce Bongo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones moves out of range as Bongo throws a body kick.
A right-left combo lands from Bongo.
Jones showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Bongo.
Jones dives in and grabs Bongo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bongo pushes down on Jones's head and hops out.
Bongo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jones swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bruce Bongo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jones.
Bongo throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Bongo is looking for a sweep. Jones is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bongo moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Bongo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jones defends well.

Jones drops back looking for a leg! Bongo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bongo manages to kick Jones off! Jones jumps back into Bongo's guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Jones's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Jones gets to his feet - Bongo follows without any prompting.
Bongo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jones defends it nicely.

Jones shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bongo napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Jones working away.
Bongo takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Jones lands a few punches from side control.
Jones wants to control but Bongo is keeping him busy.
Jones is putting a hurting on Bongo here, landing some big shots from side control.
Bongo wants to control but Jones postures up.
Bongo is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jones is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Bongo is trying to improve his position.
Jones lands an elbow.

Jones trying to control the action but Bongo is working from the bottom.
Bongo looking for a sweep but Jones has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Bongo tries to hold on but Jones postures up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bongo is squirming around, avoiding Jones's attempts to control the action.
Bongo tries to reverse the position but Jones maintains control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jon Jones dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Jones throws a leg kick which misses Bongo's front leg but catches the back leg as Bongo tries to avoid it.
Bongo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jones shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bongo defends it nicely.
Jones feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Bongo's calf.
Bongo lands a lovely overhand right.
Bongo has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Jones slaps away a takedown attempt from Bongo, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bongo scores with a one two! Jones had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jones looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Bongo shoots for a double leg takedown but Jones sprawls well. He's pushed Bongo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jones doesn't manage to clinch there - Bongo circles away.

so Jones counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Jones drops back looking for a leg! Bongo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bongo manages to kick Jones off! Jones jumps back into Bongo's guard.
Bongo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jones's guard.
Jones is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Bongo would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Jones scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Jones stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jones wants it to stay on the feet.

Bongo displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jones.
Bongo throws a right and a left that both miss.
Jones looks for a takedown but Bongo sprawls well.

Jon Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Jones wants to take a breather but Bongo is having none of it.

Jones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bongo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Bongo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Bongo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Jones shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jones was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
