Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hessu Hopo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mal Reynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hopo might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bodies. Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reynolds pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hopo is breathing heavily.
Hopo lands a nice hook to Reynolds's body. Reynolds takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Reynolds slips under a jab.
Reynolds keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hopo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Reynolds throws a head kick but Hopo moves out of range.
Reynolds uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hopo.

Mal Reynolds seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Reynolds lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hopo at a distance.
Reynolds scores with a head kick. Hopo tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Reynolds ducks right into an uppercut from Hopo.
Hopo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Reynolds was well out of range. Poor timing from Hopo.

Hopo shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hopo showed some decent athleticism there.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hopo connects with a nice short shot to Reynolds's temple.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Hopo is looking to take a break and control but Reynolds is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Reynolds wants to stand up but Hopo is controlling him.
Hopo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hopo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Hopo has gone for a leg lock! Reynolds slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hopo's guard.
Reynolds must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
