Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hans Laudrup!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shane Johns!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laudrup shoots in but Johns avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Johns tries to clinch but Laudrup moves out of range.

Laudrup manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Johns on his heels. He'll look to pass Johns's guard now, I'm sure.
Laudrup connects with a couple of short punches.
Johns wants to stand and escape but Laudrup is having none of it.
Laudrup controlling from the top position.

Johns wants to stand up but Laudrup is controlling him.

Laudrup stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johns swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Johns wants to stand and escape but Laudrup is having none of it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Laudrup ducks under a wild hook from Johns.
Johns tests Laudrup's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Laudrup bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Johns tries to close the distance and clinch up but Laudrup swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Johns moves out of range as Laudrup strikes.
Laudrup connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Johns lands with a thumping leg kick.
Johns misses with a hook. Laudrup ducked under it nicely.

and Laudrup counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Johns lands a glancing blow to the side of Laudrup's head.
Laudrup scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Laudrup throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Laudrup bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Johns just misses with a punch to the body.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Johns throws a body punch but Laudrup moves out of range.
Laudrup misses the shot to the body.
Laudrup misses with a low kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Johns takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Johns tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Laudrup was well out of range. Poor timing from Johns.
Laudrup dives in and grabs Johns's left leg, looking for a takedown. Johns pushes down on Laudrup's head and hops out.

Laudrup wants to take a breather but Johns is having none of it.

Johns kicks Laudrup off and gets back to his feet.
Johns pivots, looking for a leg kick but Laudrup is out of range and Johns settles back down.

Johns forces Laudrup back against the cage and clinches.
Johns misses with a punch on the inside.

Laudrup has picked Johns up - he's going for a ride! Laudrup dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Laudrup throwing shots but Johns is blocking nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hans Laudrup overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Laudrup wants to control but Johns is keeping him busy.

Laudrup thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Johns's head.

Johns pushes Laudrup off and gets back to his feet.
Johns stuffs the takedown attempt from Laudrup. Laudrup gets slowly back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Laudrup lands with an uppercut that bounces Johns off the cage and back into range.

Laudrup rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Johns counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Laudrup throws a shot from downtown. Johns moves away and avoids it.

and Laudrup counters with a nice uppercut.

Laudrup drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Laudrup drops his hands momentarily and Johns takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Laudrup uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Johns.
Shane Johns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Laudrup tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Johns swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hans Laudrup. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Johns throws a lazy right hand but Laudrup sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

That was a close second round but I would say that Hans Laudrup will probably get the nod.

Johns cracks Laudrup with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Johns is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Laudrup doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Johns crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Johns's bad books for that mishap!
