Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Al Iaquinta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Hawke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Iaquinta rushes Hawke and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Iaquinta misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Hawke tries a knee to the head but Iaquinta blocks it.
Iaquinta tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Iaquinta turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Iaquinta manages to end up in side control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Iaquinta trying to control the position but Hawke is working away.
Iaquinta has knee on belly momentarily but Hawke bucks him off and regains half guard.
Still in half guard, Iaquinta seems content to control.

Iaquinta is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Hawke is looking to stand up but Iaquinta isn't so interested in that idea.
Iaquinta throws an elbow that misses. Hawke uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Iaquinta's guard. Nice move by Hawke!
Hawke pushing down on Iaquinta's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Iaquinta is trying to stand up here but Hawke is controlling him well.
Iaquinta wants to get back to full guard.
It looks like Hawke is going to stand back up.
Iaquinta tries to roll over but Hawke keeps him under control.
Hawke throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Iaquinta is in trouble now - Hawke has advanced to mount!

Hawke stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Iaquinta gets in close and instigates a clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Iaquinta tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hawke smiles and moves away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hawke enables Iaquinta to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hawke manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Iaquinta controls from within his opponent's guard.
Iaquinta looking to sit in guard and control but Hawke gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Hawke stands up from Iaquinta's guard - Hawke perhaps looking for a knockout.
Nice sprawl there from Iaquinta as Hawke shoots in.

Hawke fails in his attempt to clinch.
Hawke tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Iaquinta moves out of range of the body kick.
Horrible takedown by Hawke or perhaps it was just good defense by Iaquinta which made him look bad.

Iaquinta gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Iaquinta has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Hawke clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Iaquinta has his opponent's back but Hawke is looking to stand. He manages to get to his feet and shakes off Iaquinta.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hawke is looking to clinch.
Hawke fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Al Iaquinta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Hawke.

Iaquinta feints and as Hawke raises his hands in defense, Iaquinta changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Iaquinta is sitting in close to Hawke's body. Hawke has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Iaquinta is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Iaquinta is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Hawke.
