Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Murray Hewitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abe Reles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reles comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bone Thugs N Harmony - Mo' Murda kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hewitt lands a jab to the nose.
Reles misses with a hook.
Reles scores with a jab to the jaw.
A nice leg kick lands there from Hewitt.
Reles misses the body punch
and Hewitt counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Reles avoids a punch combination nicely.
Reles closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hewitt circles away.
Hewitt dips to his left and cracks Reles with an uppercut!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Reles tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hewitt swivels and escapes.
Reles just misses with a punch to the body.
Reles shoots in looking for a takedown. Hewitt tries to sprawl out of it but Reles keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hewitt manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Murray Hewitt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abe Reles.
Hewitt uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Reles.

Hewitt fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Reles.

Hewitt ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Reles moves away.
Hewitt avoids the body shot from Reles.
Hewitt punishes Reles's body with a nice straight punch.
Hewitt lands with a shot to the body.
Reles slips a straight right by Hewitt.
Hewitt misses with the combination.
Hewitt connects with a body shot.
Hewitt lands a glancing blow to the side of Reles's head.

Reles jabs Hewitt to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Hewitt is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Reles throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Hewitt to counter with a crisp jab.
Reles misses with a straight right.
Hewitt feints a jab promting Reles to slip. Hewitt then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Reles slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Hewitt misses with a looping left.
Hewitt fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Reles scores a takedown into full mount!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hewitt holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Reles tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Reles misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Hewitt trying desperately to get to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reles working the ground and pound effectively.
Reles trying to control but Hewitt is having none of it.
Reles has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Reles throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Hewitt because Reles loaded up on that one.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Hewitt throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hewitt lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Reles comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Hewitt moves out of range as Reles strikes.
Hewitt uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Hewitt avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Reles throws a lazy right hand but Hewitt sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Reles looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hewitt scores with a jab to the head.

A jab-cross combination lands for Reles and sends Hewitt crashing to the mat! Reles follows him down to the mat - Hewitt regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Hewitt is rocked!

It looks like Murray Hewitt has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Reles lands a big elbow - Hewitt is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Reles!
