Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Aadilou Ankutse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shaka Zulu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ankutse comes into the arena with i ka kane blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aadilou Ankutse!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shaka Zulu!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Jorge Garcia and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ankutse shoots in looking for a takedown. Zulu tries to sprawl out of it but Ankutse keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Zulu manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ankutse tries to clinch up.
Zulu throws a right and a left that both miss.

Ankutse bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Ankutse is trying to get an arm triangle but Zulu is defending well.
Zulu is pushing Ankutse's head away, looking to escape. Ankutse manages to hold on to the position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ankutse working the head with strikes.
Ankutse prevents Zulu from escaping the position.
Ankutse working the ground and pound.

Ankutse is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Zulu knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Zulu wants to get back to his feet but Ankutse drags him back down.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ankutse throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Zulu is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Ankutse has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Ankutse is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Zulu has escaped the position, nice work there.
Zulu is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Ankutse is controlling him well.
Ankutse wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zulu keeps working.
Zulu wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Ankutse decides to stand up, so the ref orders Zulu to his feet.
Ankutse tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Zulu paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Zulu misses with a wild combination.
Ankutse closes this distance looking for a takedown but Zulu circles away.

Ankutse bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Ankutse landing strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ankutse scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Zulu to see if he's OK.

Ankutse advances to mount.
Ankutse lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Zulu taking shots to the head.
Zulu is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Zulu looks gassed!
Ankutse trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Zulu is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Ankutse landing strikes from the mount and Zulu is in trouble!
Ankutse working the ground and pound effectively.
Ankutse can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Zulu is looking to escape.
Ankutse dominating with strikes here.

Ankutse lands with some strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Zulu defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Ankutse.
Zulu is bucking up trying to escape but Ankutse cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Ankutse goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Zulu turns into him and now he's in Ankutse's guard.

Ankutse had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Zulu defends it easily.

Ankutse has his feet on Zulu's thighs here. He's pushed Zulu off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Zulu screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Aadilou Ankutse!
A very excited looking Aadilou Ankutse made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
