Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aston Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kimmo Susitunturi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martin comes to the cage accompanied by East Clubbers - Beat Is Coming. Aston Martin has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Aston Martin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kimmo Susitunturi!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Radbod Blank and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Susitunturi.


It looks like Kimmo Susitunturi has been cut.
Martin throws a head kick that misses.
Martin defending well as Susitunturi loads up on a big left hand.

Susitunturi clinches.
Martin tries to land a knee to the head but Susitunturi blocks with his arms.
Susitunturi has Martin pressed against the cage, preventing Martin from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Susitunturi on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Susitunturi gets control of Martin's arms and successfully pulls guard. Susitunturi will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Susitunturi wants to stand but Martin is controlling the position.

Susitunturi uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Martin slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Susitunturi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Martin circles away.

Martin gets caught flat footed, as Susitunturi shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Susitunturi postures up in Martin's guard and throws a big left but Martin blocks it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Susitunturi throwing strikes but missing.

Susitunturi throws a strike but Martin rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Martin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Susitunturi on the ground.
Susitunturi wants to sweep here but Martin controlling him for the moment.
Susitunturi is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Susitunturi is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Martin is controlling him.
Susitunturi wants to sweep but no luck.

Susitunturi throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Martin escapes and throws Susitunturi's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Susitunturi is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Martin is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Martin is looking to stand but Martin has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Susitunturi is in all sorts of trouble here.
Susitunturi holds on for dear life.

Susitunturi slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Susitunturi is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Susitunturi looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Susitunturi is looking for a triangle here but Martin uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Susitunturi is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Susitunturi shoots in but Martin avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Susitunturi pivots, looking for a leg kick but Martin is out of range and Susitunturi settles back down.
Susitunturi takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
A head kick misses from Martin.
Susitunturi swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Martin goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Some wild striking there from Susitunturi.
Martin connects with a leg kick. Susitunturi looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Susitunturi tries to clinch up.

Susitunturi bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Martin is working to avoid the ground and pound but Susitunturi connects with a decent elbow.

Susitunturi is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Martin knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Martin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Martin is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Susitunturi tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Martin avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Susitunturi.
Sloppy strikes there by Susitunturi.
Susitunturi lands an elbow.
Susitunturi misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Susitunturi moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Susitunturi working the strikes but Martin uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Martin keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Martin is trying to stand up here but Susitunturi is controlling him well.

Susitunturi seems to be looking for submissions.
Susitunturi missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Susitunturi seems to be working for a kimura but Martin defends the submission attempt.

Susitunturi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Martin's head.
Kimmo Susitunturi has got the better of the ground game so far.

Susitunturi trying to work for an americana but Martin has managed to regain full guard.
Susitunturi with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Susitunturi is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Martin is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Martin has escaped and now he's on top!
Susitunturi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Susitunturi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Martin defends it easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kimmo Susitunturi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Martin stuffs the takedown attempt from Susitunturi. Susitunturi gets slowly back to his feet.
Susitunturi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Martin swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A left lands for Susitunturi.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Martin.
Susitunturi tries to clinch but Martin is having none of it.
Martin tries a head kick but it misses.
Martin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Susitunturi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Martin fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Susitunturi tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Martin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Susitunturi takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Susitunturi shoots in looking for a takedown but Martin manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Susitunturi's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Martin, right into the meat.
Aston Martin is winning the standup battle so far.
Susitunturi takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Martin throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Susitunturi takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Martin buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Martin throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Susitunturi fails with the takedown.
Aston Martin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kimmo Susitunturi.

Martin connects with the punch.
Susitunturi shoots for a double leg takedown but Martin sprawls well. He's pushed Susitunturi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Martin lands with a kick to the temple. Susitunturi shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"


That has opened up Kimmo Susitunturi's cut even more.
Martin lands a head kick. Susitunturi smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Susitunturi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Martin swivels and escapes.

A big head kick from Martin and Susitunturi is sent sprawling to the canvas!


Susitunturi is rocked!
Martin won't allow Susitunturi to sweep him here.
Susitunturi is still in real trouble! Can Martin finish him?
Susitunturi is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Martin is controlling him.
Susitunturi seems to have recovered his senses.
Martin postures up.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Kimmo Susitunturi was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Susitunturi takes a kick to the side of the head.


The cut above Kimmo Susitunturi's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

and Martin counters with a stiff right hand.
Martin fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
A combination from Susitunturi does no damage.
Martin lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Susitunturi at a distance.
Aston Martin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A nice inside leg kick there by Martin. That's going to slow Susitunturi down.
Martin scores with a head kick. Susitunturi tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Kimmo Susitunturi's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Martin throws a head kick that half lands.
Susitunturi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Martin defends it nicely.
Susitunturi walks forward, straight into a front kick from Martin.
Susitunturi has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Martin.

Susitunturi takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Martin fakes the leg kick and cracks Susitunturi in the body.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Martin lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Susitunturi shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Martin napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Susitunturi in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Martin parries the strikes from Susitunturi easily there. Susitunturi is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Martin to escape.
Susitunturi postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Susitunturi tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Susitunturi in side control lands a decent elbow.
Susitunturi in side control, throwing shots but Martin defends.
Susitunturi in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Aston Martin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Martin avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Susitunturi.

And that's the end of the fight!
Aston Martin showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Susitunturi has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
